Terms of Use

1. About the service

Overland Finds is a marketplace and community for expedition trucks, overland campers, vans, 4x4s, adventure motorcycles, adventure bicycles and parts, with a builder directory, Finder AI, offers and a blog. Parts buying and selling currently uses private enquiries rather than a live parts checkout.

2. Our role

We connect buyers, sellers and independent service providers. We are not a dealer, do not own, inspect or verify the vehicles listed, and are not a party to a vehicle sale. Any sale contract is between the buyer and seller. Review or featured placement does not verify ownership, condition or suitability.

3. Accounts

You must be 18 or over, provide accurate details and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Contact us promptly about suspected misuse. Creating an account does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

To request account deletion, email overlandfinds@gmail.com. There is no self service account deletion control. Removing account access does not override lawful record retention.

4. Listing rules for sellers

Give accurate and honest descriptions, disclose known defects and use real photographs you have the right to use. You must have the legal right to sell and submit one listing per vehicle. Sellers acting in the course of a business must identify themselves as business sellers.

Do not post stolen goods, unlawful or unsafe products, deceptive prices, fraudulent information, impersonation, spam, discriminatory or abusive material, infringing photographs, or private information without permission. We may edit, reject or remove a listing. Submission is private pending review and does not guarantee publication.

5. Fees and payment

Launch price until 2 January 2027. The advertised monthly listing amounts are the same numerical amounts in GBP, EUR or USD:

• Private seller listing: 5 GBP, 5 EUR or 5 USD per month.
• Business seller listing: 10 GBP, 10 EUR or 10 USD per month.
• Builder listing: 10 GBP, 10 EUR or 10 USD per month.

These fees are separate from vehicle asking prices. Reference rate conversions in other displayed currencies are approximate, not a guaranteed exchange rate or an agreed billing currency. After 2 January 2027, prices may change with notice before you agree a new paid period.

The intended billing period is monthly. Online checkout, recurring billing and automatic renewal are not live. Submitting a form does not take payment or start a subscription. Payment arrangements, the start of the paid period, any renewal, cancellation deadline and applicable refund terms must be agreed separately before charging. We do not apply an unannounced automatic renewal or blanket refusal of refunds.

Ask about cancellation or refunds by email. Consumers keep all cancellation and refund rights the law gives them, including applicable cooling off rights. No service begins early in a way that removes those rights without the legally required agreement.

6. Buying safely

Inspect the vehicle, check ownership, documents and history, and arrange an independent inspection. Never send money for a vehicle you have not verified. Be cautious with deposits and confirm who receives the payment.

Buyers are responsible for checking import rules, taxes, registration, insurance and road legality in their country. We do not provide escrow or payment protection.

7. Illustrative listings

Listings marked “Illustrative listing” are examples, with illustrative images and specifications. They are not real vehicles for sale and should not be treated as evidence of availability or market value.

8. Finder AI

Automatically generated suggestions are for guidance only. They can be incomplete or inaccurate and are not mechanical, legal or travel safety advice. Check listing details and consult qualified professionals or relevant authorities. Do not enter sensitive personal information.

9. Wanted, Sourcing and Customisation

Requests may be passed to independent specialist partners after operator review. No match, price, delivery, import eligibility or completed project is guaranteed. Any resulting work or purchase is a contract between you and the partner, under separately agreed terms.

10. Builder directory

Builder listings are paid placements by independent businesses, subject to review and agreed payment arrangements. Inclusion is not an endorsement, inspection or guarantee of their work. Verify qualifications, references, scope and contract terms yourself.

11. Lead Generation services

Enquiries are reviewed and may be shared with our marketing partner to prepare a separate proposal and agreement. Website design is scoped separately from campaign budgets. Nothing on the site guarantees results, lead volume or return on spending.

12. Offers and affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links and Overland Finds may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Third party offers are subject to their own terms, availability and eligibility. Paid and sponsored placements are identified. Check the destination website before purchasing.

13. User content

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting listing text or photographs, you grant us a nonexclusive licence to store, review, display and promote them for the marketplace, including on our social media channels. You confirm you have the necessary rights and permissions.

You can request removal by email. This licence does not transfer ownership or allow us to sell your personal information. Previously shared promotional content, caches and records required by law may not disappear immediately.

14. Acceptable use

Do not use the site unlawfully, scrape or harvest information without permission, send spam, commit fraud, impersonate others, evade security controls or attempt to damage or disrupt the service. Do not share another person's private details without a lawful basis.

15. Intellectual property

The site design, branding and original material belong to the operator or their respective rights holders. You may view them for normal use of the service. Reproduction or commercial reuse requires permission, except where the law permits it. Third party marks remain their owners' property.

16. Availability and disclaimers

We aim to provide a useful service but do not promise uninterrupted access, error free content or continued availability of a listing. Listings, guides and AI output are information, not certification or professional advice. These statements do not remove duties or guarantees imposed by law.

17. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for an independent buyer, seller or partner's conduct or for losses caused by reliance on information you should independently verify. Any liability that the law requires us to accept remains in place.

18. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access, reject content or suspend an account for misuse, inaccurate information, security risks or legal reasons. Where reasonable, we will explain the action and let you contact us to dispute it. Urgent safety or legal issues may require immediate action.

You can stop using the site and request deletion by email. Ending access does not affect accrued legal rights or separately agreed service contracts.

19. Changes and severability

We may update these terms and show the new date. Material changes to an ongoing paid arrangement will be notified as required and will not silently rewrite an agreed billing period. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

20. Governing law

The laws of England and Wales apply. Consumers keep the mandatory protections and access to the courts of their country of residence where the law provides for this.
